The Information Line service offers you a unique level of control and a professional system which enables you to communicate important messages to your customers both quickly and efficiently.

When you do not need to talk to your customers face to face, a recorded message is an excellent way to get a message across. You can use our text-to-speech facility to create a message, record it via the telephone, or even take advantage of one of our professional voice recording artists! To ensure that your message is perfect, there is no limit to the number of times a message can be changed. This is particularly useful when the information you are disseminating changes on a daily basis – for example, sports results or weather reports.

Our information lines can handle tens of thousands of calls per hour giving you maximum coverage for minimal cost, and you can monitor the line usage via our online call stats system.

Combined with premium rate numbers or 0871 numbers, information lines can provide a valuable service as well as a source of additional revenue.

How to use an Information Line Service

The heading gives the name of the service, the telephone number (and PIN, if applicable) it is connected to, and its status. For help with testing the service, click the How to try this service help button. To check how much this service would cost if attached to a real number click the What does this cost? link. To see how to make the service work with a real telephone number, click the Make it Live link.

The Information Line service is set up by selecting items on the chart on the left and amending the data displayed - be sure to save the changes using the Save Changes link each time. Note that prompt messages can also be amended over the phone - the link at the bottom of the form will tell you how.

Other links at the bottom of the form allow you to delete the service or copy the service (when you wish a copy of the service to be associated with a real telephone number).
